I was lucky to get this figure when Amazon first listed it in stock.
Unicron is great and seeing that Hasbro imported the retooled 2010 Takara Version(with slightly different paint) is awesome. The import version had great box art but no way to see the figure so essentialy you had to desrtoy the collectable by opening it.
-Yes if you're spending $150+ on a figure thats been released 3 times already from overseas, it's a collectable.
Anyhow, I couldn't justify adding that to my collection while already having the first 2 versions, so I passed. However at $60 in a great package THANK YOU AMAZON I'll be proud to display it in the box.

But this is my issue, this figure is supose to be a $60 AMAZON exclusive, they even offer free shipping. You can't get it for that though because the scalpers are buying the stock & reselling it at 3 times the price!?!

I could see if this was happening on Ebay(where you can get the figure for only 2 times as much) but AMAZON is being scalped, on their own exclusive in their own house.

If you can get the figure for $60, don't hesitate. Otherwise, shame on these people!

Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether

Review :
My 5 month old daughter LOVES her Sophie the Giraffe toy! This toy is absolutely wonderful in every way. Sophie is made of soft rubber and makes a pleasant-sounding squeak whenever any part of her body is squeezed, so even a young baby can elicit a reaction from the toy with minimal effort.

I don't know what it is about Sophie, but whenever my daughter plays with her, she gets very vocal and talkative.

I saw another review which referred to this toy as "a glorified dog toy". That reviewer is mistaken, and simply doesn't realize the value of this toy.

- Sophie's body, while soft, has several areas of thicker rubber (the nubs on her head, her ears, and her feet) which are perfect for teething babies to gnaw on for relief.
- Sophie's contrasting colors (spots) are visually stimulating to a baby.
- She is easy to grip given her long, thin neck.
- This toy is made of 100% natural rubber and uses food-grade paint (SAFE!).
- This is a quality baby toy which will last for many years.

I would much rather pay $20 for a safe, engaging toy for my baby, than pay $5 for some piece of junk with lead paint.

Vtech - Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker

You remember that picture from "Airplane" where everyone lines up to slap the hysterical woman? That's how I experienced about the Vtech sit-to-stand understanding farm walker. I wanted to grab it, shake this, and yell "shut up shut up! No the first is playing with you right now so stop blipping and blooping like a maniac!" In a desperate tactic for attention, this thing loves to blare music and light up, even when baby sometime ago moved on to something else. It's MTV for the current generation of AD&D babies.

The training farm has two volume settings: super loud and ultra, mega loud. It's not only loud, it's also repetitive. Even though it has about 11 tunes, it prefers to loop one or two. The actual hard plastic wheels slide more compared to roll, on most surfaces. It also features the quaint late-90s-era telephone handset-- probably the only one your infant will ever see outside of a museum in their lifetime.

I guess all this overstimulation would be fine, if a person could prove to me personally that baby will become a genius as an effect. But I'm a little skeptical that he's understanding much. As the second reviewer noted, the buttons do not respond consistently. If you push 1 from the 5 colored buttons along the bottom, the response rotates through several possible answers. It all just appears as an arbitrary jumble of lights and sounds.

As a walker, baby sometimes scoots it along, mostly on his knees. He generally appears to get better practice through cruising along other objects around the house. Just remember that infants have been learning to walk for eons. I am pretty sure caveman infants didn't have vtech learning farm walkers, and I'm certain they turned out fine.

Chutes and Ladders Disney Princess

This is a great first board game for little girls who love their princesses. The game pieces are quality figurines of Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora. My daughter LOVES it. The board is really pretty and decorated top to bottom with Disney. She is in love. I love that it helps couting (to 6). Any activity other than watching TV is a plus in my book. My only concern is that the spinner is a little cheap. If it does break though, we can always use a dice because 6 is the biggest number.

New realese Beauty and the Beast DVD

The biggest flaw in this story ... is that it makes a 45-year-old man cry like a child every time I watch it. My opinions on Disney movies vary -- some are good, some are almost unwatchable -- but "Beauty and the Beast" is the best work the studio has ever done.
Why do I love this movie so much? I think it's the music. In some musicals (animated or live), as soon as a song begins, the story comes to a grinding halt. (Can anyone remember one tune from "Mulan"?) But in this film, the music by Ashman and Menken advances the story marvellously. Animation and voice acting combine in a near-flawless performance, and the use of computer animation in the ballroom dance sequence was ground-breaking in its time.
As for the added features, the added song "Human Again" is a wonderful fun number. I can understand why it was left out of the original version, but its inclusion really doesn't detract from the story (it's another big production number like "Be Our Guest", not really essential to the plot, but helps us get to know the supporting characters).
The "making of" features are fairly interesting; the on-disk games I can take or leave. But the film itself is still the gem, worth the purchase price all by itself; the standard by which all other Disney movies are measured.
